Christa Buckland
About Me
I am a health promotion specialist based in Sydney, Australia. My background is in birth work and I am an experienced doula and childbirth educator. Prior to birth work, I was a music teacher for many years and also gained experience in marketing and administration. I have highly developed skills in teaching, public speaking, presentations, networking, communication and writing.
I have completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Health Promotion) at Western Sydney University, gaining the Dean's Medal and achieving the top 2% of my cohort. I am now enrolled as a Higher Degree Research Candidate. My topic of research is on exclusive breastfeeding and young mothers. I am focused on forging relationships with allied health professionals and community organisations in my local area.
I am generous with my time and genuinely want to help as many people as I can!! I am passionate about birth being a community issue and seek to inform and inspire all to take responsibility for their health choices.
